Biomedical startup OceansBio announced today that it secured first place at the 'Youth Startup Accelerating Demo Day,' organized by the ‘Gyeongnam Creative Economy Innovation Center’ and hosted by Gyeongsangnam-do on December 12, 2023.
OceansBio is a startup that develops electroceuticals for the treatment of epilepsy, depression, and stress, with a specialization in wearable devices for addressing depression and stress.
It will make concerted efforts in technology research to live up to the recognition gained from the award, becoming a proactive company in the field of medicine by attracting additional investment.
At the event, OceansBio demonstrated its distinctive business model, blending high technology and creativity. “I believe Demo Day’s award enables us to prove our enormous potential as a representative of the Gyeongsangnam-do region,” said Lee Hyun-woong, CEO of OceansBio. “We are committed to contributing to society by offering innovative solutions for mental health diseases, recognizing once again that medical technology will play a pivotal role in the future startup ecosystem.”
